In the sacred silence of farewell, Douglas Edward is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Douglas Edward's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur McGovern and Virginia McGovern. He is survived by: his wife Teresa "Teri" McGovern of Wichita; his children, Thomas McGovern (Dana) of St. Louis, MO, Robert McGovern (Kay) of Denver, CO, Joanna Quargnali-Linsley (Sandro) of Chicago, IL and Ashley Ellis (Michelle) of Derby, KS; and his grandchildren, Erin McGovern, Justin McGovern, Daniella Quargnali-Linsley and Garrett Ellis.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Chapel Hill United Methodist Church (1550 N Chapel Hill St, Wichita, KS 67206).
