He is survived by: his children, Rosalie Eisenbart, Sharon Ramos (Alfredo Orona), Edmund Schmitz Jr. (Ramona) and Michael Schmitz (Sonia); his siblings, Sylvester Schmitz and Mathilda Petermeier (Romie); and his sisters-in-law, Betty, Marita and Myrna. He is also survived by his family and his many friends.
