He was predeceased by: his parents, Harlan Popp and Nadine Popp of Kingsdown. He is survived by: his son Steve (Sandra Boyer) of Wichita; his brothers, Terry of Bucklin and Tom (Tammy Allen) of Wichita; his nephews, TJ Popp (Mandi) of Wichita and Jason Wood (Clayton) of Wichita; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Mackenzi, Ethan, Izaac, Alexis and Avery.
When his younger brother, Brent, needed a kidney transplant, Ed was a match and donated one.
