He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Scherlacker and Dorothy Scherlacker; and his brother John Sheaffer. He is survived by: his wife Saundra Kay Manning; his daughter Christy Skelton (Greg) of Wichita; his granddaughters, Emily Brungardt (Connor) of Wichita and Grace Skelton of Wichita; and his sisters-in-law, Cynthia Manning of Edmond, OK and Linda Sheaffer of La Quinta, CA..
