Though Gayle may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Patrick Black and Evelyn Louise Wagner; and her nephew Taylor Cavallaro. She is survived by: her husband James Edward Smith (Jim); her children, Lisa Crissup (Shane), Peter Bodyk (Joy) and Allen Bodyk (A. J.); and her stepdaughter Summer Smith.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Old Mission Mortuary (3424 E 21st St N, Wichita, KS 67208). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Old Mission Cemetery (3424 E 21st St N, Wichita, KS 67208).
