He was predeceased by: his daughter Kathryn E. Lewis; his great grandchild Kaitlyn O'Neal; his parents, Baptist Kraus and Loni Kraus; and his brothers, Ewald Kraus and Fritz Kraus.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Elisabeth Kraus; his sons, Drs. Karl Kraus (Bonnie Kraus) and Dr. Kent Kraus (Marty Kraus); his grandchildren, Shawn O'Neal, Bryan O'Neal, Nicklas Kraus, Megan Kraus, Stefan Kraus, Elizabeth Kraus and Lorelle Kraus; his great grandchildren, Brendan O'Neal and Mila Kraus; and his brother Arno (Berta Flori).
