He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold H. Malone and Monica Malone (Flakus); and his siblings, Hal (Kasey), Tim, Mike and Nancy Schaefer (Jim).

He is survived by: his brother Don (Rosemary). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; grand and great-grand nieces and nephews; as well as numerous brother priests, friends, parishioners, and caregivers.
