He was predeceased by: his sister Rosa Rios; and his father-in-law Don Colberg. He is survived by: his parents, Hector Rios and Maria Rios; his children, Madison of Los Angeles, Trey of Austin and Alexa of Wichita; and his siblings, Miguel Rios, Raquel Rios-Reed (Greg Reed) and Patty McGuire (Scott McGuire). He is also survived by many in-laws, nephews and nieces.
