He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Pechanec and Rose Pechanec; his brother Victor Pechanec; his sisters-in-law, Agnes Pechanec and Margaret Pechanec; and his siblings, Frankie Pechanec and Anita Pechanec.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Pechanec; his children, Jason Pechanec and Jami Herzberg (Chris); his grandchildren, Justin, Landon and Kason; his brother Stephen Pechanec; and his sister-in-law Annie Pechanec.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with: St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 3642 N. Ridge Road, Wichita, KS 67205 and Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 103 S. Main Street, Timken, KS 67575.
