James Kerschen Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Kerschen (Wichita, Kansas), who passed away on August 5, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Kerschen to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Alphonse Kerschen and Catherine "Kate" Kerschen (Polan); and his siblings, JoAnn Sigman (Ralph), Jean Schawe (Ben), Laura Kerschen, Tom (Nora) and Donald Kerschen.

He is survived by: his sons, Brent Kerschen (Angie) and Mark Kerschen (Mendy); his grandchildren, Briley Letkiewicz (Matt), Hadley Becker (Cade), Ella, Charley, Jax and Lainey Kerschen; his great grandchildren, Hunter, Gracyn Letkiewicz and Scottie Becker; and his siblings, LeRoy Kerschen (Carolyn) of Wichita, Lorena Forrest (Steve) of Wichita, Mary Winter (Ken) of Wichita, Joe Kerschen (Paula) of Wichita and Dale Kerschen (Barbara) of Aurora, CO. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Reflection Pointe Funeral & Cremation Services (3201 S Webb Rd, Wichita, KS 67210). A rosary was held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church (645 N 119th St W, Wichita, KS 67235). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Ascension Cemetery (7200 E 45th St N, Bel Aire, KS 67226).
