He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth Dennis (Akers); his parents, James W. Dennis and Bertie Dennis (Ruble); and his siblings, Herbert, Sam, Ray, Bill, John Ruble and Ruby Willinger Gerstner.
He is survived by: his children, Kenneth Dennis (Janet) of Dighton, Cindy Dennis (Susan) of Wichita, Debbie Rinehart (Stan) of Sublette and Diane Dennis (Mac) of Wichita; and his grandchildren, Lisa Rouse (Nick), Janae Biernacki (Tyler), Kristi Rinehart, Maggie Webber, Jamie Rinehart-Gaede (Mitchell) and Breann Dennis. He is also survived by four great-granddaughters; four great-grandsons; sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Downing & Lahey West Mortuary (10515 W Maple St, Wichita, KS 67209). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
