It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jesse Joe Chavez of Wichita, Kansas, who passed away on August 22, 2025, at the age of 51, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Jesse J. Sr. and Evangeline Chavez. He is survived by: his wife Layna R. Chavez (Cox) of Wichita, KS; his mother Theresa Chavez of Wichita, KS; his children, Bolo Chavez, Sophia Chavez, Bonefacio Chavez, Devynn Anderson and Kameryn Anderson; his siblings, Tara Crippen (Matt), Ceci Maggard (Dan), Frank Vasquez (Cat) and Charise Vasquez (Julian); and his grandchildren, Luna and Juniper Allen.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 6th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Goldenrod Park Community Building (1340 S Pattie St, Wichita, KS 67211).
