He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernest Dewey Ledbetter and Evelyn Elizabeth Ledbetter (Wales); his wife Barbara Yvonne Ledbetter (Bonat); his son Paul Cook; and his siblings, Carl Ledbetter (Fran), Doyle Ledbetter (Mary) and Wanda Rizley (Darrel).
He is survived by: his brother Ronnie Ledbetter (Kathlyn) of Huston; and his children, Richard Cook (Deborah) of Marion and Theresa Cook of Wichita, Kansas.. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Riverview Baptist Church (844 West 53rd St N, Wichita, KS 67204). The inurnment will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Kansas Veteran's Cemetery (1208 N College St, Winfield, KS 67156).
