We are sad to announce that on November 17, 2025, John F. Barthelme (Wichita, Kansas) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Brian Barthelme; and his stepfather Bob Lavelle. He is survived by: his mother Lucy Lavelle of Wichita, KS; his wife Elizabeth Barthelme of Hesston, KS; his children, Danielle Barthelme and Paul Barthelme; his brothers, Luke Barthelme (Kelly) and Matt Barthelme (Erin); his parents-in-law, Gerhard and Vonnie Fast; his stepmother Samantha Barthelme; his stepsiblings, Kellie Lavelle, Joe Lavelle, Pat Lavelle and Nick Lavelle (Megan); and his brother-in-law Aron Fast (Annie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A rosary was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (132 S Millwood Ave, Wichita, KS 67213). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
