As we bid Joseph farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Joseph is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Faulkner Mercer and Mae Mercer; and his sister Sharon Mercer Leppke. He is survived by: his wife Lois Pugsley Mercer; and his children, Tim Mercer (Shelly), Tod Mercer (Melissa), Ted (Staci Mercer) and Lori Brummett (Jeff). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and numerous family members and friends.
