With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Julie Marie (Gilsen) Thomas of Wichita, Kansas, who passed away on July 10, 2025 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Julie Marie may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Julie Marie touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her mother Vonda Jo Greer Gilsen. She is survived by: her father Barry L. Gilsen; her children, Justin Patterson and Jody Patterson; her brothers, Dean Gilsen and Tim Gilsen (Laurie); and her former husband AJ Patterson.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Lakeview Funeral Home (12100 E 13th St N, Wichita, KS 67206).
