She was predeceased by: her mother Betty Lou Vaughamore; and her sister Tracy Watkins. She is survived by: her spouse Sherry Kerns; her siblings, Mary Wilson, Steven Kerns and John Pero; her nieces and nephews, Angela Ballinger, Amanda Pawloski, Tonya Settle, Sheena Pero, Tammi Wilson, Jill Wilson, Trevor Shofe and Aaron Shofe; her great-nieces, Berlynn Kerns, Savannah Fry and Geneva Pawloski; Mylah Newland, Penelope Shofe, Marley Shofe, Sharon and David Shofe.

A memorial has been established with the Kansas HUmane Society.
