She was predeceased by: her father Theodore Coukoulis; her husband Robert Klapprott; her mother Faye Coukoulis; her brothers, Ted and Gary Coukoulis; her son Brad Klapprott; and her grandson Justin Klapprott.

She is survived by: her daughters, Kathy Coleman (Sheldon) and Shari Klapprott; her grandsons, Christian and Cody Coleman; her son Wayne Klapprott (Karla); her granddaughter Kristy Klapprott; and her sisters, Mary Kay Fisher and Francene Pettyjohn. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews.

Joan was also an avid bowler and remained active in her leagues until the age of 88, when the COVID-19 pandemic brought her beloved pastime to a pause.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harry Hynes Hospice in her memory.
