He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Capps and Ina Capps; his wife Helen Moreland; his son Curtis Capps; and his brothers, Edward and Roy "Sonny" Capps.
He is survived by: his children, Miles Aaron (LeAnn Capps), Mark Capps and Brenda McBroom of Dallas, Texas; his grandchildren, Courtney McBroom, Emily McBroom, Amber (Geff Garcia), Adam (Kristi Capps), Morgan (Erik Jacquez Diaz), Kristin (Wayne Gleason) and Hunter Kamphaus; and his great grandchildren, Grace McBroom, Nevaeh Garcia, Noah Garcia, Layne King, Aubrie and Jaxton Gleason.
