The memory of Leonor Casteneda of Wichita, Kansas, who passed away on October 31, 2025 at the age of 82, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jose Silva and Ynes Silva (Arellano); and her siblings, Lola Vasquez, Natividad Garibay, Louisa Silva, Maclovia "Max" Wofford, Louis Silva, Rosa Silva (Bernadette), Angel Silva, Virginia Granada, Martin Silva, Margarita Rodriguez and Filimon Silva.
She is survived by: her children, Teresa Miller (Keith), Michelle Bradbury (Richard) and Jesus Hernandez (Yecenia); her grandchildren, Elisa Heckathorn, Leiah Heckathorn, Andrea Mendoza, Brian Heckathorn, Victor Mendoza, Cristian Mendoza, Lionila Hernandez, Jesus Hernandez Jr. and Angel Hernandez; her great grandchildren, Koby, Mia, Sophia, Catalina and Meeklo; and her brother Paul Silva (Fern). She is also survived by nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Resthaven Mortuary (11800 US-54, Wichita, KS 67209). A rosary was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Holy Savior Catholic Church (3000 E 13th St N, Wichita, KS 67214). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
