She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Albert and Thelma Ruth Hitt (Black); her brothers, Albert and Murphy Hitt; and her daughter Stacey Prier.
She is survived by: her husband Dwight Evan Burkett; her children, Chris Dolley (Brent), Mike Hampton (Amy), Jerry Balman (Rhonda), Jason Balman (Holly), Shara Woodruff (Paul) and Cade Burkett; her nephew Jesse; and her grandchildren, Sabrina, Matt, Jerika, Amber, Sarah, Samantha, Nicholas, Elizabeth, Erika, Hailey, Isaac, Owen, Bradan and Bayley. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Resthaven Mortuary (11800 US-54, Wichita, KS 67209). A committal service was held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home (11800 US-54, Wichita, KS 67209).
