With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Maria Nicolasa Schmidt in Wichita, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 6, 2025 at the age of 103. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Trinidad Mora and Teresa Mora; her husband Albert Schmidt; her siblings, Guadalupe, Alex, Marina, Concha, Linda, Carlos and Sally; and her stepson Larry Schmidt.
She is survived by: her daughter Carmen Campos; her stepdaughter Karen Colley; her grandchildren, Nicole Carter (Kristian), Justin Campos, Marisa Wilson (Nick), Alyssa Campos, Keith Schmidt (Jamie), Todd Schmidt (Judy), Chad Schmidt (Angela), Jeremy Schmidt and Kevin Colley; and her brothers, Tony Mora and Joe Mora. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family greatly appreciates donations made to these charities in Maria Nicolasa "Nico" Schmidt 's name.
