She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Gerald Courtney and Margaret Connors Courtney; her children, Michael Schmidt of Ames, IA, Joseph Schmidt of Belleville, IL, Catherine Green (John) of Hutchinson and Mary Schmidt of Wichita; her husband William Schmidt; her brother Thomas; and her granddaughter Elizabeth Schmidt. She was also cherished by 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
