She was predeceased by: her parents, William H. Wist and Velma Wist; her siblings, Richard Wist and Alene Pool; her husband Douglas A. Garton, Sr.; her daughter Connie Lynn Hamm; and her grandchildren, Leslie Hedrick and Michael Hamm.
She is survived by: her sister Margarette Wade; her son Douglas Allen Garton, Jr.; and her grandchildren, Douglas Garton III, Joshua Garton, Jennifer Berger, Abigail Langley and Bryan Garton.
A graveside service was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery - 47th St (6231 W 47th St S, Wichita, KS 67215).
