Though Merrick may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Wiles and Zelma Wiles (Long); his brother Earl Douglas Wiles; his son Matthew Earl Wiles; and his grandson Deryck Ray Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Wiles; his children, Merrick (Anette) of Topeka, KS, Kevin (LeAnne) of Parsons, KS and Kerry Wiles of Nashville, TN.; his stepchildren, Mike Latimer of Wichita, KS, Lindy Sparr (Tim) of Wichita, KS and Misty Hinds (Donny) of Wichita, KS; and his brother Gary (Cyndi) of Wichita, KS. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
