He is survived by: his wife Carolina Bates; his children, BJ Bates (Amanda), Jocelyn Bates (Jossie) and Kallie Hapgood (Scott); his grandson Miller Bates; his sisters, Valerie Redington (Brian) and Sherri Sobotka (Tom); and his nieces and nephews, Chelsea, Sarah, Nikki, Scott and Jason.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Wichita Country Club (8501 E 13th St N, Wichita, KS 67206).
