We announce the death of Michael Thompson in Wichita, Kansas, who passed away on October 13, 2026, at the age of 68. Michael will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his father Herschel Wayne Thompson; and his brothers, Everett "Dean" and David Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Ginger Thompson (Gray); his children, Joshua Wayne Thompson (Heather), Brandon Thompson (Chelsey) and Jackie Thompson-Lepe (Jose); his grandchildren, Noah (Alex), Paige, Cayden, Tucker, Cyruss, Dahlia, Luciano, Jose, Leticia, Leslie, Stephanie, Corbin, Harper and Maddi; his great grandchildren, Stetson Wayne, Hannah and Natalie; his mother Judy Thompson; and his brother Steve Thompson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and loving friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the DeVorss Flanagan Hunt Mortuary (201 S Hydraulic Ave, Wichita, KS 67211). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Cross Road Church (2139 S Maize Rd, Wichita, KS 67209).
