He was predeceased by: his parents, James Clinton and Theda Thedinger McConnaughy; and his brothers, Dan and Jim McConnaughy. He is survived by: his former spouse Terry Rupp; his children, Daniel McConnaughy (Juanita Norton) of Wichita and LoriBeth McConnaughy (Jonathan) of Wichita; his grandchildren, Tristan McConnaughy of Mexia, TX, Taylor McConnaughy of Hutchinson and Dylan Oliver of Houston, TX; his siblings, Patricia Bunker of Sunnyvale, CA, Peggy McConnaughy of Chico, CA, Jo Ann Fluderer (Bill) of Lenexa, KS, Mary VanRiette (Brad) of Iola, Don McConnaughy (Lynn) of Hutchinson and John McConnaughy (Lisa) of Memphis, TN; and his former wife Terry McConnaughy of Wichita.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Michael W. McConnaughy Memorial fund in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
