She was predeceased by: her parents, Rupert "Buster" Melton and Mary Melton; her husband Marvin; her granddaughter Amber Young; and her brothers, Gene Melton and Bill Melton.
She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Thibault (Tom) of Wichita, Kathy Young (Charley) of Jacksonville and Sharon Johnson (Keith) of Waddell, Arizona; her grandchildren, Ryan McClintock (Jennifer), Jared Thibault (Taylor), Matthew Thibault (Cecilia), Nathan Thibault, Keri Williams, Ashley Moye (Greg), Jessica Young, Kimberly Young, Jillian Johnson, Olivia Johnson and Driskell Johnson (Dominique); and her sister Nedra Forester. She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Believers Southern Baptist Church (13909 W 21st St N, Wichita, KS 67235). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
