She was predeceased by: her parents, Ulysses Seaman Young and Lennie Audie Young (Haynes); her siblings, Cecil Young, Melvin Young, Selbert Young, James Young, Tom Young, Bernice Calhoun and Joyce Gore; her husband John Melick; and her great grandchild Isaac Sittenauer.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Rogers, Cindy Haseley (Stephen), Lori Hladik (Chris) and John Melick (Sonya); her grandchildren, Ashley, Nicole (Adam), Taylor (Will), Jaman (Hannah), Kelsey (Matt), Aaron, Austin, KaSandra and Kylee (Jake); her stepgrandchildren, Stephanie (Peter) and Peter; and her child Miley. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren and 3 great step-grandchildren; and her dog.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Smith Mortuary (501 E Louis Blvd, Mulvane, KS 67110).
