He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Breckunitch and Jean Breckunitch (Levins). He is survived by: his wife Majel Palmateer; his children, Kelly Breckunitch and Kirstie Mikelait (Joseph); his granddaughter Frankie; and his sisters, Carla Mitchell and Janet Bachofer.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family to help with expenses and left in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
