He is survived by: his daughters, Debby Walter (Craig) and Susie Tharp (Blaine); his daughter-in-law Marla Hanson; his grandchildren, Melissa Hanson, Nicole Kerns (Kurt), Kory Tharp (Ashlee), Tyler Walter, Deryk Hanson (Lauren), Sarah Northup (Adam) and Shane Tharp; and his great grandchildren, Elysia West (Mason), Clayton Culver, Drake Hanson, Riley Hanson, Brantley Tharp and Brylee Tharp.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church (1101 N River Blvd, Wichita, KS 67203). A committal service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Resthaven Gardens of Memory (11800 US-54, Wichita, KS 67209).
