He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Mourning and Eliene Mourning; his brothers, Roger William Mourning, Robert "Bob" Mourning and Richard Lee Mourning; his nephew Shawn Lee Mourning; and his daughter Carrie Mourning-Robertson.

He is survived by: his wife Cathy Mourning of Wichita, KS; and his stepdaughters, Tiffany Biggs (Jonathan Jones) of Harper, KS and Crystal Travaille (Chris) of Savannah, GA. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
