He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin E. Howard and Cara Lee Howard (Vance); and his friend Marilyn Nelson. He is survived by: his children, Emily Hollenbeck (Brian), Erin Stroda (David Medina) and Kevin Howard (Em); his grandchildren, Natalie, Tate, Bennett, Kai and Klarity; and his sisters, Sue Streit (Jerry) and Stephanie Anderson (Al). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
