He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Pennington and Josephine Pennington; his wife Judy Pennington; his daughter Suanne Devlin; his brother Max Pennington; and his grandson Colby Self.
He is survived by: his sons, Mike Pennington (Kari) of Wichita and Scott Pennington (Kellie) of Flower Mound, Texas; his brother Scott Pennington (Sherry) of Joplin, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Kacie Wilson, Matt Pennington (Jessica), Ryan Pennington, Clinton Self (Julie), Wesley Benefield (Kelby), Dawson Pennington, Aubrey Pennington, Kristen Devlin, James Zeller (Maddie) and Karrie Brooks (Zach). He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Downing & Lahey East Mortuary (6555 E Central Ave, Wichita, KS 67206). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the East Heights United Methodist Church (4407 E Douglas Ave, Wichita, KS 67218).
A memorial has been established with the Kansas Masonic Foundation, 221 SW 33rd St., Ste. 100, Topeka, KS 66611. The family greatly appreciates donations made to these charities in Terry Pennington 's name.
