He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas L. Medill and Marie Hines Medill; and his wife Jean Sponable Medill. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Emily Smythe Angelo (Tom), Chris Smythe (Candice), Ryan Jackson, Rachel Jackson, Rose Medill, Kathleen Medill, Josie Medill, Matthew Medill, Jacob Ediger (Sarah) and Brandon Ediger (Emmy); and his great grandchildren, Abbie Angelo and Graham Angelo.
