We announce the death of Thomas Bruce Mierau (Wichita, Kansas), who passed away on July 31, 2026, at the age of 79. Thomas will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Mierau and Lela Friesen Mierau. He is survived by: his wife Lois Y. Barrett of Wichita; his children, Barbara Kramer (Corey) of Wichita, Susanna B. Mierau (Martin Hernberg) of Weston, Massachusetts and John B. Mierau of Wichita; and his siblings, Ronald Mierau (Lien), Gary Mierau (Vicki) of Denver, Colorado, Bradley Mierau (Ann) of Tampa, Florida, Michael Mierau (Carrie) of Gainesville, Florida and Deborah Hori of Cambria, California. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
