It is with sadness that the passing of Willard Alvin Lauer (Wichita, Kansas) is shared. Willard, born on October 21, 1932, passed away on October 8, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lauer and Minnie Lauer (Mueller); his son Mark Douglas; his wife Audrey Hope Dixon; and his siblings, Irene Jensen, Melvin and Robert Lauer.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Lauer (Diana), Marcia Harford (John) and Bill Lauer (Pam); his grandchildren, Jessica Murphy (Cameron), Megan Knutzen (Justin), Cathrine Leis (Lance), Robert Harford, William Lauer II (Lisa), Joe Lauer and Jim Lauer (Karly); and his brother Roland Lauer (Norma). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church (600 N Greenwich Rd, Wichita, KS 67206). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 10:30 AM and at 11:30 AM. The military honors will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at the Military Honors Lakeview Cemetery (12100 E 13th St N, Wichita, KS 67206).
Memorial contributions may be made to the Chase County Senior Center and Grace Lutheran Church.
