He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Nicholson and Apollonia Beck Nicholson; and his brothers, Thomas and Jerry Nicholson. He is survived by: his wife Julie; his children, Kate and Francis "Bill" Nicholson; and his sisters, Mary Kay Pilley and Jean Noonan.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cozine Life Events Center (11500 E 21st St N, Wichita, KS 67206). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church (1321 N Stratford St, Wichita, KS 67206).
