She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Ervin Boultinghouse and Dora Boultinghouse (Tryon); her husband Max Courington; her siblings, Delia Stanley, Wanda Stevens, Frank E Boultinghouse Jr. and Elnora Bassett; and her stepson Allen Duncan Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Ann Capps, Sue Steiert, Max Courington Jr. (Beverly) of Wichita and Mark Courington (Lindy) of Wichita; her stepdaughters, Kay Sue Duncan and Cindy Duncan; her grandchildren, Julie Semler, David Capps, Max Courington III (Kathy), Angela LaFontaine (Bill), Emily Conner (Andrew), Jack Courington (Stephanie), Kelley Hotaling (Ben) and Erin Courington; and her stepgrandchildren, Erin Duncan and Jared Duncan. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
