Wyanetta M. Evans Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wyanetta M. Evans (Wichita, Kansas), who passed away on August 3, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Wyanetta departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Wyanetta. Though Wyanetta may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William McGlachlin and Margaret McGlachlin (Reilman); her husband Jake Evans; her siblings, Donald, Richard McGlachlin and Janice Born; and her brother-in-law Alban Born.
She is survived by: her sister-in-law Margie McGlachlin. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Devorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary (201 S Hydraulic Ave, Wichita, KS 67211). A rosary will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Ascension Living Via Christi Village (3636 N Ridge Rd, Wichita, KS 67205). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Alzheimer's Association or American Cancer Society.
