He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred and Freda Suther (Tegeler); his wife Carol Lee "Ginger" Brownlee; and his siblings, Ralph Suther, Jerry Suther and Mary Gerstner.
He is survived by: his children, Rick Suther of Ottawa, Kansas, Regina "Jean" Roecker (Dale) of Williamsburg, Kansas, Joe Suther (Sandi) of Princeton, Kansas, Patti Moore (Curt) of Ottawa, Kansas, Jack Suther of Las Vegas, Nevada and Robert Suther (Jeanette) of Hutchinson, Kansas.; his sisters, Vera Strunk of Wamego, Kansas, Betty Suther and Eleanor Suther; and his siblings-in-law, Joy Mitchell of Cincinnati, Ohio and Alvin Gerstner of Topeka, Kansas.. He is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
