He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Eugene and Velma "Grace" Bernd (Werner); and his sister Lucinda Dyck. He is survived by: his wife Janis Norene Gibbens; his children, Lorie Howe, Chabrun Bernd (Lyndsey), Chelsea Bernd and Christina Bernd; his grandchildren, James "Dylan" Howe (Justyna), Austin Howe, Hayleigh Bernd, Taylor Bernd and Karsyn Bernd; and his great grandchild Henry "Cooper" Howe. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
