He was predeceased by: his parents, William Charlie and Opal Rodgers; his former wife Lola Jean McGee; and his sons, Doug and Chuck Rodgers.
He is survived by: his son Terry Rodgers (Karen); his grandchildren, Tiffany Shineman (Ted), Chase Rodgers, Solomon Rodgers, Warren Rodgers, Sara Rodgers and Ian Rodgers; his great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Adilyn; and his sister Sue Rubio.
The military honors was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Winfield (803 Loomis St, Winfield, KS 67156). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery (1208 N College St, Winfield, KS 67156).
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be made to the Kansas Veterans Home and left in the care of the funeral home.
