She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Higginbottom and Louise Higginbottom (Janke); her spouse L. R. "Dick" Flottman; and her sister Lorita Pendleton (Higginbottom). She is survived by: her daughter Rebecca Courtney (Flottman); her son-in-law Donald Courtney MD; her grandson Patrick Courtney MD; her granddaughter-in-law Rachel; her great grandchildren, Paul, Andrew and Samuel of Mason City, IA; and her granddaughter Katherine Courtney of Durham, NC..
