He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Archie Ray and Mildred Maxine Kerwood (Coon); and his brothers, Larry and Ronnie Kerwood. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Kerwood of Attica, KS; his sons, Scott Kerwood (Alyssa) of Hutto, TX and Daniel Kerwood (Amy Harwood) of The Villages, FL; and his grandchildren, Ahren Kerwood (Vanessa), Jessica Rice (Justin), Katelynd William (Justin) and Abigail Mullins (Aritt). He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Elliott Chapel (1219 N Main St, Hutchinson, KS 67501). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Fairlawn Burial Park (2401 Carey Blvd, Hutchinson, KS 67501).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Hutchinson Electrical Training Academy (HETA) to benefit the Gary Kerwood Scholarship for electrical apprentices, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
