Aikins and Mary Felicia Aikins (Negrete); his siblings, Matthew Thomas Aikins and Lori Michele Aikins; his half-brother Jimmie Lyle Aikins, Jr. (Brittany); his former wife Rachel Aikins; his sons, James Alan Aikins II and Benjamin Eugene Aikins; and his nieces and nephews, Kaylie Aikins, Kasie Stauffer (Riley), Dylan Durbin and Denton Aikins (Raychele). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins.
A memorial has been established in James' name for Holy Name Catholic Church. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
