She is survived by: her husband Tom Swopes of Winfield; her children, Michelle Koppelmann (Richard) of Oxford and Tom Swopes, Jr. (Darcy) of Syracuse; her siblings, Howard "Butch" Robertson (Brenda) of Eads, CO and Pam Cole (Rod) of Eads, CO; her grandchildren, Tyler Swopes (Tana), Kennedy Swopes, Colby Swopes, Claire Swopes, Cambrie Swopes, Dr. Zach Koppelmann (Ashley) and Josh Koppelmann; her great grandchild Myles Koppelmann; her grandchildren, Tripp Swopes and Paisley Swopes; and her siblings' children, Heath Robertson, Clint Robertson, Vance Cole and Lesa Neugebauer.
A memorial has been established in Janie's name for Kindred Hospice. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
