With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Johnny F. Hopper of Winfield, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 31, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, F. Leland and Ada; his half-brother Tommy; and his brothers, Terry and Jerry.
He is survived by: his children, Kristy Lahoda (Rob) of Columbus, OH, Kamy Hopper (Stephanie Bodkins) of Winfield, Jeremy Scritchfield (Jen) of Douglas, Melissa Counts (David) of Derby and Brooke Ewertt (Steven) of Mulvane; his grandchildren, Evie, Robert and Samuel Lahoda; his children, Kinley, Liam Bodkins, Alexis Scritchfield, Tyler, Grace Counts, Sawyer and Lydia Ewertt; his brother Glenn of Augusta; and his close friends, Jesse Madrigal, David Peacock, Victor Barlag, Christel Sawyer (Barlag) and Steve Kirby. He is also survived by sisters- and brothers-in-law; nephews and nieces.
A memorial has been established in Johnny's name for the Cancer Center of Kansas in Winfield. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
