LeRoy leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. LeRoy’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew LeRoy will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Lee Barton and Martha Goode. He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Newsom, Justin Barton, Jessica Barton and Ashley Nation; and his siblings, Connie Yocum, Kay Ewan and Terry Barton.
The military honors will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery (1208 N College St, Winfield, KS 67156).
Memorials in his name may be made to the Walnut Valley Bluegrass Festival and left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home.
